Firmware Update Requests

With 1.5 the firmware has certainly improved, but if there is anything else you would like to see improve then list it here. Hopefully someone from iriver will stop in on occasion.

- Larger album art.
- A Zoom option that works with any photos the SPINN will display. Preferably something as easy as a tap or double tap on the photo.
- An option for photos to auto-rotate to best fill the screen.
- An icon that will rotate an image 90 degrees when tapped.
- A choice of text color and font. My eyes have trouble seeing the thin default text.
- I like that holding the back button will take you back to the home screen. I'd also like a choice to get right into the now-playing screens of each app from the home menu. Perhaps a long touch on the app icon?
- More touchscreen interaction. I'd love to see a swipe on the screen scroll a list of songs or even the home screen.


Feel free to add anything else you would like to see improved or added.

-a 'play all' when youve clicked an artist, instead of going album by album
-a queue option like the clix2 (im not a fan of on the go...)
-change horizontal artist/album/etc to vertical (like in the 'file' menu) by choice, horizontal just doesnt work for me
-i liked how the clix showed what song was coming up... i could decide if i wanted to change or not before it came around
-(?)change the font of the menus aswell as sub-menus.

Or an auto playlist generation of an artist's songs across all albums

- add an entire artist , album or a genre to a playlist or to the now playing (que) and not just single files
- delete entire directory and not only a single file
- shuffle is broken: doesn't return to previous played song when REW or FF but shuffles every time
- scrolling screen: add an option (e.g. arrows UP and DOWN) to scroll easily to the next or previous screen page via the touch interface (like every other touch screen player)

PLUS all music playback realated requests from above.

Exactly! On my U10 I could browse to MUSIC->ALBUMS or ARTISTS, select ALL at the top of the list and then play everything (usually with shuffle). Surely there is some way of doing this on the the SPINN without creating a playlist?

A Virtual QWERTY-keyboard would be a nice add on to write own .txt files.

Thanks for your effort spit007. That is a really neat and useful flash tool, I tested it out quickly. However, an ability to "export" single .txt files or edit an existing external .txt file would be very much appreaciated.

I just wrote a tool to export notes to txt.
Check out the attached file.

The MS code : 0xc0000135
is a .NET framework error, this error is given in the following circumstances.
1.) you do not have the appropriate .NET class Framework
2.) You do not have .NET installed at all
3.) your .NET framework install is damaged, or installed incorrectly

It works, thanks a lot!
After connecting the SPINN I started the application gnotepad_explorer.exe. Then I choosed Driveletter SPINN which in my case was (G:\). As an Export folder PC I choosed (C:\). Then I selected the slot/slots I requested and pushed Export
Voila!

Maybe an easier way to skip songs? Have it so when you scroll slowly it skims through the song, but when you do one quick sweep with the scroll wheel it skips the whole song.

Might have to make it optional because I'm sure most people won't like it.

And a PLAY ALL option!
