Sorry but I will only answer one of your questions here as I am also new to the Fuze myself.
I think and dont quote me on it, but now with the latest firmware update you can go over 4000 songs. Here for more info: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/de...e*/r_id/101834 |

The newest firmware lets you have a total of iirc 8000 tracks (sd and internal memory combined). You have to format after upgrading the firmware to make sure the total is updated (I forget why).
No lyrics on the original firmware. Memory card classes will only affect how fast you are able to update the contents of the card (eg on your computer copying tracks to the card) and won't have any noticeable effect on the use within the device. |

thanks alot!
so if im buying the 8gb fuze would it be a waste to buy the 16gb microsd card? and how big is it compering to the e200? referring to the screen size and the actual player size .. |

The screen size is the same but oriented horizontally. The Fuze is approx. 1/4 in. wider. The e200 is about a 1/4 in. taller. This accommodates the change in screen layout. The Fuze is only a little over half the thickness of a e200 and considerably lighter.
You had a Clip. It should be easy to figure how many songs you had in that player then multiply by the needed amount for a 24 GB capacity. If that comes to less than 8000 songs the 16 GB card shouldn't be a waste. |

If you can source a v1. Fuze (refurb, etc.) you can also use Rockbox, which will get you around the song limit altogether. Just depends on how technical you want to get. With or without rockbox, however, the Fuze is a good solid little player.

I seriously doubt you would hit the 8000 song limit unless you use very low bitrates. I have an 8GB Fuze with an 8GB card. It's almost completely full with mid-bitrate MP3s and I have around 3000 songs.
Also, if you prefered the Clip form factor, you might want to check out the new Clip+ which now has a microSDHC slot. |

Same resolution, at least, but 4:3 instead of 3:4.
The Fuze's screen is slightly bigger physically though (1.9" diagonal vs. 1.8" diagonal, iirc). |
