I broke the screen of my Fuze. Time to upgrade to an 8GB version 2.
Has anyone replaced a screen before. I would like to have 2. PIC BELOW... Last edited by K_Watson; 09-10-2009 at 02:31 PM. |

Where would you get a screen to replace it with? Would you be able to buy a broken Fuze cheap that has an intact screen? A new 4 GB Fuze in black is just $51 on Amazon with free shipping. Even if you could get a screen to replace the broken one on your Fuze, is it worth the trouble?

geting the fuze apart is easy, putting it back togather is a bitch, the wheel cable is VERY SHORT and hard to plugin, honestly, i wouldnt even bother tryin to fix it....
buy a new one at bestbuy, get the geeksquad warrinty, and in 2 years when the warr is about to expire, exchange it for something newer

I just bought a new black 4GB v2 at RadioShack for $59.
My old one is still "usable", because enough of the screen is still "readable", so it will be used for mowing and other activities to risky for the new one.

I have a small blemish on the upper right side of my screen but it still functions. I dropped a heavy staple gun on my Fuze. I don't feel the need to replace the screen.
I have taken apart my Fuze and successfully reassembled it. |

I pulled my fuze out of my pocket and it had a dark spot underneath the plastic on the screen. My pocket was empty.
