Screen Problems with NWZ A828

Hi Everyone:
Problem: A828 when plugged into the pc you can access the hardrive the screen seems in perfect condition, But the screen remains black..
Please let me know if you can help..I do not have guarantee left anymore.

Have you tried turning off hold, then holding the power button?

Hi, I have the player with me.
Tried pressing the power button, but no the screen remains black (blank)
However, I can play the music-mp3, but not see any display.
When charging I can't see any display, remains black.
Any sugestions?

Your not going to believe this, but while playing this Sony a828 mp3 / mp4,
the screen started to appear faintly, so I quickly set the equaliers and other setting to my taste.
Weird its gone again, can't see a thing.
When it did appear it was very faint, tried to increase the brightness but that did not work, made it worse.
Hope someone can tell me whats wrong? apart from this, the players functions well, plays music very well, obviously it can display photo and play video but I can't see it!
I quickly viewed a video while the display was faint..
Definitely gone now!! Back to black / blank screen

maybe it's a problem with the backlight .maybe you should take it apart and look for connections problems, in particular the lcd.you can use the service manual :

Weird, the screen is working again intermittantly, so I think there must be a loose connection, since I only got the player for $16, sold to me as faulty screen for $16
