So I just got the P3 a week ago and I have still not been able to add any music from my library onto the player. I continue to get a message from EmoDio stating "Failed to transfer files to the portable device." The odd thing is that the DataCasts seem to be working, but I can not add a single file.
I am attempting to transfer ogg and mp3 files that I have had no problems in the past transferring on to my old Cowon. I am using EmoDio version 1.0.5.4 and P3 firmware version 2.18. I have tried a few things so far, primarily around EmoDio because it has crashed several times while in operation. I have reinstalled EmoDio, avoided getting EmoDio update at install, ripping a cd into EmoDio and attempting to upload with no luck. If it means anything, I have had a hell of a time getting album art uploaded on previously ripped music (ogg&mp3). I hope someone can help me, I hope this is something I just have missed and I do not have to go through the warranty process. Thank you. |

For album art, use Mp3Tag.
As for getting files on, just use drag and drop through Windows Explorer. EmoDio isn't very good to be honest.

I performed a magic trick with my computer....I made EmoDio disappear! I add music either by drag and drop, or with MediaMonkey, and catch and load my podcasts on to my Samsung with MediaMonkey as well. And MP3Tag works like a charm too.

So, I downloaded MP3Tag and am using windows explorer. Much easier.
Next issue: The albums listed on the P3 only show up if they are in mp3 format, not ogg vorbis. Any idea on what is going on? |

I don't think the P3 supports OGG. It can use FLAC though.

no, it can play OGG, it just doesn't support ID3 tags with ogg files..
