I haven't actually measured the battery life in mind but I use it mostly for TV shows, typically 42 to 48 minutes long, and I generally see 4 or 5 shows on it before the battery goes down a notch. I've let it get discharged past the 1 notch point a few times and I wasn't counting so I can't be completely sure but it took a lot of shows, probably 10 or more, to get to half full.

All I know is I'm getting a few days, at 2hrs a pop. So I charge it every 3 days or so now. Not bad, and the battery never pooped out on me yet. And as I've said, it's for video ONLY.

Thats usually what I get too. Ill watch a couple hours a day(2-3), and usually have to charge after 3 days of use. Still loving the drag and drop any video though. Sooooooo niceee.

Cowon's are more durable than Archos and the Batteries are definately better. I don't charge mine too much and I'm always watching vids.

Oh well, my O2 just bricked. I was listening to a few tunes (even though I said I'd ONLY use it for vids - it sounded so good!!!!) and it shut off. I tried to charge it and the red charge light flashed - then shut off. I'm going to leave it alone, charging (I hope), for a bit. If it's dead, I'll need another PMP for my vids.

Hold both the + and - buttons while powering it on, that gets it into recovery state. I had to use that several time because of some broken WMV junk that left my O2 in unusable state.

Nope, it's time to move on. I'm still using it every night, but I'm waiting for my new player to arrive. IMO the O2 is excellent for what it does, but I'm looking for a player that allow more than just video playback. Make it a mega D2 and it'd be the BOMB!!!! FWIW I'm just bored.

I have an O2 and I never actually measured the video playing time. I also have an Archos 504 with a real thick extended battery that gives me about twice as long per charge as the normal battery. I never actually measured the playing time per charge on it either.

However my estimate is that the Cowon goes about twice as long on a charge playing videos as the Archos, even with it's double life battery.

I also have an Archos 705 and an Archos 404, both with normal batteries, and they get probably less than 1/3 the playing time between charges of the O2. The 404 has a new battery, too.

I only use these players for videos so that's all this is about. I have no idea about their use with music.

I also have a Cowon S9 and my guess is that they both get about similar playing time with videos. This is harder to measure because I use the S9 for audio and text a lot, to.
