Default Nomad Jukebox doesn't turn on
just got my original nomad jukebox out after about 4 years.

but it doesn't work - either with fully charged batteries or attached to the mains.

any ideas how to start it up or what the problem is?

Use the battery & wall charger .Try using the reset to power it on.

But the battery in the player & connect to the power cord. There is a small hole that says Reset. Push a straightened paperclip into the hole & it should come power up.

that didn't work... is it dead? If I take out the HD, will I be able to read off it if I connect it to a PC?

No only another player like it can read it. Does it show that the battery is charging?

Update - I left it plugged into the charger all day and I just checked it - it is warm, so I think the charger is working and some electric is going into it. I also plugged in my headphones - when I press the play button I get a "clicking" sound - so there is some life there - but nothing on the screen... I'd really like to get this player going again as I've got some nice MP3s on there.

Have you connected it to the computer? Is it recognized?

no - it didn't seem to be picked up by my pc. I am trying to buy a cheap one on eBay and swap the HD. shame
