Hello everyone,
I own a Sony Walkman NZ-S616F MP3 player (Japanese model). I was wondering if there is firmware available for it so I can: A) Drag and drop B) Make it in English so I can actually understand the device menu and settings. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. |

I'm pretty sure there isn't a firmware upgrade available or I would of used it myself (I have a NWZ-S616f)
.But you can't drag n drop? Odd since it works just fine on mine (But that could be because its an NWZ) And English isn't in the language settings? Interesting...

Japanese models are made specifically for the Japanese market. To use the most recent software to transfer files, you must have a Japanese OS on your computer. You can't drag and drop with the Content Transfer software provided by Sony. Try using Sonic Stage 4.3. It should allow you to transfer your files to your Walkman. As far as the language settings go, the Japanese Walkman is Japanese only. I live in Japan but have an overseas model of the A829. It contains every major language EXCEPT JAPANESE. Download the English manual for the NWZ-S16f: http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/w...LV&m=NWZ-S616F
Try comparing the English and Japanese settings. It may help you figure things out. |
