Archos video output - For Car

Hey guys.

So I currently have a Jeep. I have aftermarket speakers and amps installed, but my headunit is the stock one and I want to keep it that way. I have the video entertainment system with aux inputs for both audio and video. The problem I am always having is that when the unit doesnt detect any sound or video on the inputs (or there is very low sound, like the quiet part of a song) the unit shuts off the auxilary.. Anyways, to get past this, i have been just using my nokia n95 with a video output instead of my ipod because the n95 puts out a continuous video signal of what is displayed on the screen, therefore keeping the input open.
I want to buy an archos to throw in the car, but I need to know if the unit can output continuous video (eg. of the menus and everything else displayed on the screen) or if it just outputs a video signal when you play a movie file.

Can someone who owns one elaborate?
