Hi, I'm hoping I am missing something obvious here but my iPlayer downloads are only showing at about 3/4 size. They copy over and play just fine but they don't fill the screen.
Anyone know why, or is this the same for everyone? Many thanks.

By switching to full screen (zoom or whatever) you are upscaling the iplayer portable source. Is there a way to download the larger WMP version (also available for download with the portable version) and then convert it to fit - ie downscale it. I discovered it is too large for the P3 and won't play.
i dabbled a bit, and essentially you hit the DRM protection on this operation on the file if you you try to edit the file on your PC using the Windows Media Encoder - so I am stuck. I am guessing there is no way out other than blow up the video to full screen and suffer the softer focus? Unless someone knows of a way out... Samsung could do us a favour by a firmware change which could handle the downscaling... rather that than having to upscale. |
