Dreamnine prefers the Sony A840 over the S9/m1 for his reasons, you can't judge a player by its number of features. "Quality over Quantity "

If you read through that thread it goes back a while and has pics of peoples players, phones and equipment. You could lose yourself there for a couple of hours.

Then it might be bedtime.

I would agree with that.

So, samsungm1, may you so helpfully tell us how the S9/M1 is superior over the Sony A series?

Some people have ENORMOUS music librarys, and 32gb might not be enough for them. I think thats the main reason Dreamnine wants the 64GB A series. @samsungm1 saying that the S9/m1 is JUST better than the A series, but not explaining to us why, isn't saying much.

Hey!
Did you understand what I've said?
Either you have a question about the M1 or you don't post here.
No debate, no off-topic.
Otherwise you can go on through PM.

About the M1:
Does it do gapless playback?
How fast is it's flash game playing compared to the S9's flash game playing?
Is there a cross-fade or fade-in/fade-out option for music playback?
Is the screen made from Gorilla Glass?
Is there anything Emodio is specifically required for on the M1?

Oh sorry Lebellim ^_^

Question(s):
How well does the SD card integrate with the internal memory for the m1?
What's the exact date of it releasing in Canada?
If you threw the M1 out of the highest window in your house/apartment.... how long will it take to hit the ground?
If you go into an Apple Store right now and tell everyone how awesome/superior the M1 is over the Ipods, will you get beaten up, sworn at, or thrown out of the store?

PS
Who "rep"ed me up? My rep used to say "unknown quantity"... =D

nvm!

so, how strong is the screen, is it about the same as the players on that mohs hardness scale video? and also what about the rest of the player? what is it made of? how strong is it? does it seem in any way flimsy?

and also, how is it's ability to play games? does it use the "g-sensor"? what does the g-sensor even do?

The G-sensor is pretty much an accelerometer with a fancy name.

From Wikipedia:
"An accelerometer measures the proper acceleration it experiences relative to freefall. Single- and multi-axis models are available to detect magnitude and direction of the acceleration as a vector quantity, and can be used to sense orientation, vibration and shock. Micromachined accelerometers are increasingly present in portable electronic devices and video game controllers, to detect the orientation of the device or provide for game input."

The screen is really scratch resistant, Its made of brushed metal with a clear glossy scratch resistant cover over it, i actually thought it was gonna be very flimsy but i read the description and it said it weighed 91 grams and it felt very sturdy!!

I've been unable to get the M1 recognize any of my id3 tags in my collection of ten years worth of music; neither on MP3, Vorbis, nor FLAC, self-ripped, bought from Amazon MP3 or Deutsche Grammophon online shops. It displays the album art (except for FLAC), and that's it.
