Unhappy Noooooooo I dropped a 50lb weight on my p3
I was at the gym today and I was using 50 pound weights and my p3 slipped out of my pocket, with out me knowing, on to the ground. I let the weight go when it was close to the ground and it fell on my p3. When I got up and realized I was sick.

It still plays music, but the screen cracked and so now the screen doesn't work. It got bent a little but I bent it back in place. I cant believe it still works the touch is evene repsonsive cause I can change the song. Is there any hope for it (like fixing the screen and casing), or should I buy a new one.

Wow, first off I just wanna say that thats amazing. I'm sure I wouldn't have survived being smashed with a 50lb weight....

Also, you COULD get a new player, but continue using your P3 for the gym...Since fixing it would probably cost as much as a new one, and your P3 is busted anyways...

so far the p3 can survive scratching, dropping and kinda suyrvive gym equiptment dropping on it.

now whats needed is someone brave to test it off of the Eiffel tower!


damn these players wasn't designed to withstand abuse, but they seem to naturally withstand quite a beating.

What we need now is someone to test if its bullet proof.
Anyone willing to get shot in the chest and see if the p3 protects us from bullets?

Post a picture! Maybe Samsung will pay you as it's a good advertisement for the durability of the P3. Timex ads used to say: "Takes a Lickin' and keeps on Tickin!" There HAS to be a great slogan for the P3 in this accident somehow.

Someone put their P3 in the microwave on full and see how long it (or the microwave) lasts.

i use mine in the gym all the time. Except that mine is in an armband (Griffin Aerosport for itouch works perfect). I was scared that would've happened to me. P3's are cheaper theses days, though if mine broke, i'd probably go with the M1.
