It’s good to hear that they’re on top of it, but it’s interesting that cowon already has 3 firmwares on such a new player: v1.10, v1.10 and now v1.12.

That's pretty much normal for Cowon, in my experience. S9, D2, O2, they all got loads of firmwares at the beginning.

Yea, I guess since I have a slew of them for the i7, but they didn't come out as quick as this.

More importantly, I wonder why they only ever mention that useless DRM junk in their changelogs and never the real important fixes that are hidden in each firmware somewhere. But then again, WMA/PlaysForShit is so thoroughly broken, they will never be able to fix it 100%. Keeps developers busy, so I guess that's good for business.

With my collecting, a new firmware release is mostly about trying to find the player that's getting updated, then find the cable it uses. It gets me warmed up. After an update I then have to untangle some headphones to give a listen, mostly to make sure my content didn't get deleted in the update and that they didn't make anything worse.

Good old Cowon, how I missed your stupidity and releasing of firmwares without even testing them once.

1.12 broke the friggin' clock. It is impossible to set the clock to the correct time and date. How they could have missed that glaring bug is completely beyond me.

Wonder what other, less obvious, bugs are hidden in there...
