Today, I was showing my parents the EXACT MP3 player I want (32GB Samsung P3, black) because I know (or at least hope) that I'll have it for a couple years and I want it to be, well, the exact one I want. So, I went to Amazon.com and showed them a 32GB black P3, and at the top, under the search bar, I read:
"You purchased this item on Dec 11, 2009." And then a bunch of other stuff. As far as I know, they don't know that I saw that little part of the page. So yeah, I'm going to have a pretty good Christmas this year, seeing as this is all I asked for for Christmas. (: Now, I read a thread called 'Rants' and it kinda scared me. The one guy who posted a picture of his P3's screen that had that white background with a bunch of lines scared me particularly, because this is what's been happening to my 8GB Sansa Fuze and about half of the whole reason why I'm getting a new MP3 player to begin with. So, how often to firmware problems like that occur? Thanks! And I'm quite happy at the moment. :3 |

Dude don't get worried about what happened to another person's P3. This isn't the Creative Zen we are talking about, I haven't heard that many problems about the P3.

hehe, I had something similar happen to me today. I'm getting a Zune HD 32GB though Not a P3. Good luck with your new player!

Alright, so I guess they were just part of an unlucky few. But hopefully, if some problem like this occurs for me, that it happens before my warranty expires so I can get it replaced. I trust that Samsung is decent with returns and all.

i haven't had a single problem from mine except that the screen died randomly. but i sent it in got a new one and it has worked since,

It just depends, I mean, you really can't control if your future P3 will cause any problems. Chances are, it won't. Most people have a perfectly working P3 and others have the ones with defects (such as me). Even if anything happens, there's always Samsung to replace your P3 if it's within an year.

I've had my P3 for more than 9 months with no issues at all. It's as good as new.

I would not worry, many come here to post their problems and leave once they find a fix. You don’t see all the good unless you look … by the way congrats & happy xmas!
