You do know the S740 costs like 3 times as much as the Fuze, right?

The Fuze in 8Gb in Hungary about $140 and an 8Gb SD card about $25
So thats : $165 in all.

The Sony S745 probably will be 19 000 JPY--> about $214
That is not 3 times, not half times, only +$50.

If the Sony has as quite good SQ as the Fuze has it would be better choice.
S740 has better screen, customizable, themes, better build quality and design, and it good for video too (not movie, just video). Plus it gives a quite good earphone with NC.

So I'm curious the S745's SQ.

Amazing what geography can do for pricing. You could buy an 8GB Fuze and an 8GB microsdhc card for well under $100 US, maybe $80 if you were to hunt around. The S740 listed here is listed at $199, and I am assuming that is Canadian dollars....not sure how they compare to USA dollars at the moment, so maybe 3x was a bit overstated, but still a big difference.

Clearly the pricing is different for you in Hungary though.

If I had the $$ I would take the Sony over the Fuze, but that's me.

If I order the Fuze from anywhere I have to pay for the post cost too..
And here the S545 is $160(CAD).
$1 (USD) about 190 Ft. (hungarian currency)
$1 (CAD) about 180 Ft.
There isn't a big difference.
And as I've written, the S545: $160(CAD)-> about 28800 Ft.
And on Amazon the S545 costs £69.99 - > about 21700 Ft.

So the S745 can be cheaper in UK, than in Canada or US. But I want to order from UK, because within the EU there is not VAT, DUTY...


Anybody, about the S740's SQ...?....

Can you compare S545 to Fuze/Clip (SQ)
With and without EQ!

its better to take s 739 rather than s745. SQ for s739 for me is much better (with bundled earphone). the battery life s745 not so good.

-Better build quality
-Noisecancleling headphones

Actually, the older s739 had noise cancelling as well. How is the build quality better?? And the s639 was the one without noisecancelling

And have you heard them with the same earphone?
And what about the A729?
The new S745 has better UI, but the S729 is good too.
So A729 or S745 or Fuze?

sorry for late repplies, s745b is for 16 GB which I had one. I heard using stock earbud which they said only worked with its bundled machine. for me s739 has better sound and function (have senseme) coz both of them can't create onboard playlists. oh ya, battery life s745 so bad for 16 GB player (less than 15 hours continous play, i don't know just mine or all) so I prefer s739.
