I have some converted tv shows that were recorded using Windows Media Center on Windows 7. They record in .wtv format. I used dvrmstoolbox to convert them to dvr-ms, and then to random things that the zune should be able to see and play, but the software won't pick it up.
I've only had it a few days. Old shows that were previously recorded using Beyond tv are fine. I am thinking about returning it and getting something that supports drag and drop. I am so frustrated with the stupid device. Other than this one issue, I really like it though!! |

The Zune doesn't support wtv files.
The Zune doesn't support dvr-ms in anything other than standard definition. The only "random things" the Zune software will show (assuming you've pointed it's video library to the folder where those files are) are the few formats a Zune will play. No DRMed files, even if the files format is one supported will show up either. You'll need the video files to be in a format supported by the Zune. You can see what is supported HERE. Basically WMV and MP4. |

I have tried wmv format, and I checked every little thing to make sure it was right. It still will not see it. What is up with this? I used dvrmstoolbox to convert it from wtv to wmv. I guess saying random formats wasn't the best choice of words... I should've said different formats that are supposed to work. I also tried mp4 and that didn't work either.
So how can I get a wtv show on my zune? What do I have to do? |
