Default tagging problem?

hi , i recieved an x-fi2 for xmas & am really liking it except for 1 BIG problem , when i go to drag & drop files from my music folder on my laptop to the music folder on the device it does not go into the device but instead i have to look in genre's & artists & all over the place & sometimes they do not show up at all .. i was reading somewhere else that it could be a tagging problem & that maybe i will need to tag or convert the music or video files before i drag & drop .. i am a novice to all this so any help is much appreciated , i am using basic vista on a basic powered laptop .. also any idea's on where to get wallpapers for my zen ?

Mp3Tag is used by a lot of people:

It might take a while to properly tag all your files, but it is worth it.

If your files are mp3 or wma, the x-fi should play them fine.

Hi, I think we're having the same problem.

Unfortunately mp3tag is dealing with the issue.

Using centrale:

Highlight the song (by clicking once on it).
click on edit. (top menu)
Wait a few second for a properties window to pop up.
Edit any entry you see, or simply add info to the tags shown. Click + to add art.
When you have everything as you like it, click on OK.
