What do you think about the comming Iriver e50. Super design if you ask me but 16 gb would be sweet. Nice with a touch pad, really likes that. When can i buy it in Europe?

Today i bought the iriver e50.
First things i have to admit its much butter then most of the competion mp3 players on the market today, no trash with all the plastic buttons, sticks and case.
The moment of turning it on is pretty fast, you have to get used to the way the buttons are set-up. Turning it of goes little bit slower then starting. Further on looking at some video, radio and picture quality.

The radio, this item i never experienced such good quality. Just no srhrhhevadkflndknv stuff, but it sound really clear.

In my experience with mp3 players with video, i never used it. Looking at a screen smaller then my handpalm stress me out. This Video quality is not overwelming.

Picture is really sharp no tiny bloks or something like that. you have an slidershow even on it. No background option something i just miss tho.

Capacity, is still 1 thing that had my doubts. 4GB aint much lately looking at all the competion(8gb-16gb-32gb), but still this Iriver e50 blows everyone away with his 52 hours batterylife.(oke -10 hours will be 42 hours minimal)

Further towards other things like some extra's.
You have 2 themes to choose from.
I dont like both of the themes, but i suppose it will be update/changeable.
Big + firmware update. So proberly all those extra stuff will be downloadable.

Sound, Radio, Capacity, Batterylife and even update.
Small compact player with a huge ammount of good things.
Everything for just 55-60 euro average.

Iriver did a good job on devoloping this mp3 player.

(one advantage option, that i dont have a clue off.)
- rebuild DB (anyone have a clue what this means?)

Can anyone confirm that it is possible to plug in external microphone ? can't find any official information although before its release there were some rumours about this.

The microphone is build within the mp3 player as ussual.
I heart it on a clip about the e50, i suppose it aint able.
The only way to get a mic in the mp3 will be, using a microphone with the same plug as the headphones.

actually i am thinking about buying one of those.
my last player was clip but the batery died and they don't want to replace it.
how is the sound quality of the e50?
i couldn't find really a review of the player...

Sorry for the really late response.
Sounds really good, with a normal earphone and even better with headphone(sony,etc)

Some errors, sometimes i had some stuff like it keeps on playing and then it stops so you had to reset it. But then it works again proberly a songs issue..

It stills runs like a wild machine but i lost it, now i cant sleep anymore
Proberly buy the same one again, looking at some new kind of mp3 players the iRiver e50 still kills with his 52 hours play time!
