Hi guys,
I got the Yp-M1 recently from Korea but I got an annoying problem when I put flac files or mp4 files on my yp-M1: The tag can't be read and the file appears as "Unknown" artist and album... Having never tried to put flac files on my previous mp3 player I don't know if I do something wrong... But I used the mp3tag software and have never encountered any big issue like that with mp3 files... If anyone knows how to solve don't hesitate to tell me ;-) Note: I've got the last firmware 1.23 and 1.19, doesn't help |

There doesn't seem to be a standard for FLAC tags yet. Same problem with every other player around. The Cowon S9 lets you use cover.jpg image files in the album folders as an alternative for album art, but other tags still don't work.

FLAC fully support picture cover since 1.1.4 (13/02/2007).
As fully, I mean including with all bug fixes (it was introduced in 1.1.3). http://flac.sourceforge.net/changelog.html Last version is 1.2.1 (17/09/2007), in other words, LONG ago. |

My point was to show they need more competent programmers, or paying them well, because is not a FLAC issue/limitation.
