nwz-818 firmware downgrade

Hello,

Can any one plz. tell me how to downgrade the firmware of nwz-818

from 1.02 to 1.00

so I can get the feature of sorting my songs into folders.

hmm first questiom, you are certain this is the NWZ-A818 and not the NW-A808?

the only updates as far as I know were for the NWZ-A816 line and not the 818.

I don't think you can load an older firmware version onto a newer one, at least not in a sony player.

there is also version 1.03 for the NW-A808

hmm I have the NW-A818 and so far I haven't seen any firmware upgrades for that. Mine came with version 1.00, it must be another player as Ascariss suggested it might be a NW-A808, however I also don't think that a firmware downgrade is possible.

Sorry, my mistake.

It is NW-A808, got confused Bcuz both has same design.

I have another player NWZ-A816 ( version 1.00 ), & it has the folder

sorting feature.






Any one know if I can add this feature to the NW-A808 or not?

my nw-a818 with the firmware 1.00 also has the folder sorting feature. Music --> Folder.

thanks for the clarification accordy. unlike the NWZ-A816, the A808 is not drag and drop but requires sonicstage to transfer music and therefore the only folder in the music folders are the ones created by the program I believe. You can try adding folders in windows explorer to see if that works but again I doubt it due to the nature of the transfer that the NW-A808 uses.

you can try upgrading to 1.03 but be warned you proabably will not be able to downgrade so do this at your own risk but this probably won't add folders to the search.

Well all NWZ models do, the NW models did not since they use a different method of transfering songs.

hey guys , i want some help,i bought a SONY 818 and i want to install the software of the 808 ,the firmware upgrade 1.03
i want to do that because of the features of cancelling the song directly from the mp3 while you listen,and create a playlist from the mp3 instead of other software...



YOU THINK I WILL HAVE COMPATIBILITY PROBLEMS??? AND WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE FIRMWARE 1.00 THAT I HAVE NOW ON THE 818 IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG??? PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEE THANKS !!!!
