Default Tower Defense

I'm not sure how difficult it would be to program (or if there would even be enough screen real estate) but a Tower Defense game would be wicked!

Anyway, just another 2 cents of mine.

Too late =D. With connect 4 done I've already started on a tower defense game.

Progress: So far I have creep path following no matter what the path(user created paths). Different creep speeds, grid for tower placement. A little bit harder than connect 4 thats for sure haha.

Any recommendations for it? I just have the basics lined up. Nothing about how towers are upgraded, types of towers, etc. Suggestions are welcome!

Default Tower defense - ideas

Making something like this would be great, too bad x-fi2 probably wouldn't be able to run this(just my opinion). But in this game are also tons of cool ideas, like slowing towers, misile launchers, canon ships, 8-directional shooting devices, airplanes and so. And what about to make some stuff that will be placed on the track and will turn the the flow direction of for example two balls. These balls would destroy the balls flowing in standard direction. Upgrades? Hmm...range uprade, power upgrade, rate of fire upgrade and so on.
And definetly make some money system, we don't want to buy everything on beginning and then just watch the animation

I dunno about suggestions, but if you need help with some simple graphics or something. Images for towers and stuff, just PM me with specifications and I'll see what I can do. Thought maybe it could cut the developing time a bit if the workload was shared, and I'm not completely useless in photoshop.

I've got some ideas for games/apps..
Games:
=>Storm the House - great game, you're defending your house against army(soldiers with knives, guns, grenades..jeeps, tanks...). You've got some guns(you have to buy them), gunmans(people helping you defend your house), repair mans, automatic turrets(shooting rockets, fire, electricity...) and a main wall. But why am I describing it, you can see the whole thing there. If someone would manage to make this game, feel free to contact me, I'd be glad to help you with graphics.
=>Bomberman - classic, everybody knows this game
=>Arkanoid - again, ATARI classic game, still funny
=>Some airplane shooter - I don't know the original name(it's pretty similar to Space Invaders, but you can move in more directions), but this concept is often used for devices with touchscreen. There is one for mobile phones. Again, I'd love to see this on my x-fi2, I can make graphics for you
=>Snake - the most common Nokia game
=>Age of Empires - this wouldn't be easy, but it's great game. I'm not sure if it's possible to do this game, but it's great on cellphone
=>Commandos - like Age of Empires, I'm not sure if x-fi2 would run this, but the concept is great

Well, I've got to go now, I'll write some more ideas when I'll get back

Really - coz that would be awesome Graphics take about the same time as the coding (for me anyway) so it would be useful to have that side taken care of. If your serious I'll send you a copy of my scrolling shooter engine thus far and you can see what you think.

Hmm..I don't mean Space impact....it's almost the same, except the view. Space impact is from the side, but the game I mean is viewed from top. But I think the only stuff affected by this change are image files. And..yes, I said that I would help with the graphics, so I will. Just tell me something about the quality and so...I don't know if I should try to do something like
or if this is more than x-fi2 can handle. And..yes, send me the scrolling shooter engine please, I've never been doing anything with LUA scripts, but I'll see what I can do...And what about the deadline? When should it be done?

Lol - the sprite set i'm using for testing is based on that game :P, but its very limited (http://www.flyingyogi.com/fun/spritelib.html) . If your able to do graphics like that it would be amazing

I'd say a memory game.. OK its boring, but maybe not that difficult to script? And ideal to use with a touchscreen!

I second your memory idea, and I'll add in a unit converter to the pile of app ideas. I often have to convert stuff from Imperial to Metric.
