ok i converted a film in many formats but the sound the picture are still not right the sound is ahead by a good 5secs
what converter do you use? (make sure its free) and formats?? my videos worked great last week and now it wont HELP PLEASE ![]()

is ur film in WMV format ? im experiencing out of sync problems with WMV converted videos too, with many different converters

@but1er17: For video converters I would suggest either MediaCoder or an older version of HandBrake.
If you use HandBrake, you can follow my DVD Ripping Tutorial, just select the original video file instead of a DVD file. As far as the video format goes, it needs to be an .AVI file and encoded with the XviD codec. For the audio part of the file I would suggest the .MP3 codec since I have had the least trouble getting it to work properly. Also note that the X-Fi2 can't handle a video larger than 640x480.

i have downloaded media coder but have no idea
can ya tell me how i change it to the recomand stuff for the xfi please? |

@but1er17: Alright... I have tried several times to convert a video using MediaCoder. I have gotten it to produce a file that will play on the X-Fi2, but it wont properly reduce the video resolution to 640x480. It looks fine playing on my computer, but when on the X-Fi2 it is squashed from the sides.
I have to suggest what I mentioned earlier about using my DVD Ripping Tutorial, but choosing your movie file instead of a DVD

ok download auto gordian knot flims work perfect only prob takes for ever on 700 mb it take over an hour im trying it on 175mb ill report back

I use the Creative Video Converter for the Creative ZEN, it works like a charm. The only down side is that you can't convert FLV files...
