digital copy=no black bars..converted has bars??

If i sync a digital copy from a bluray disc to my p3, it fills the screen. But if i take that same digital copy and run it through media converter to make it mp4 and remove the drm, it has black bars on the top and bottom...i think i have tried every setting...what am i doing wrong???

Try FormatFactory, download it here or here.
1. When installed, open and on the left, click on "All to MP4".
2. A window opens, click on "Output Setting".



3. Set to "Mobile Device Compatible 480x272 AVC WideScreen" and all the settings will automatic be inserted in the fields.
4. Click OK and click on browse to browse to your output folder. (NOT YOUR P3!)
5. When you have selected the output folder, Just click OK and "Add File". Now browse to your BluRay-rip. Select it and click OK and OK.
6. Your videofile is now inserted, just click "Start" to start the conversion.
