A485/6/7 Owners
Could buy one on ebay, but (stupid?) question.... if the text is in Japanese, doesn't it make it very hard to use??? Or am I missing something (such as you can all speak Japanese!)

I speak Japanese, but I've seen ones which aren't in Japanese - I think they are in Europe and in other countries in Asia, so not just Japanese. Mine, however, is for sale! 200$ shipped A845. You can bone up on Japanese and walkman! Do it!

a word of caution...
as you my have seen from my other thread, i've got an 846 - Japanese model - and yes, only in Jap. and if you speak no Japanese, then you'll need at least a recent other Walkman to help you navigate the menu -- but of course once it's set-up to your liking, you shouldn't need to mess with it too much... (also Eng. manuals might help some: https://www.sony.com.au/product/nwz-a846#manuals ) but the big issue is, the Japanese models do not support playlists - or at least not unless you're prepared to use SonicStage. Because Sony don't support SonicStage outside Japan (Asia), the players for other regions (EU/Aust.) will support playlists.... 'Supposedly', 84* were going to be released in EU in March... but I can only find a listing for them in Germany. They are avail. in Australia, but outside of Asia, that seems to be it... what Sony are smokin'? only they know...

sony is failing hard by not introducing the higher capacity A series walkmans to europe
the 845 is onsale here in poland but only the 16gb model and its quite expensive. so even if a 32gb model was released, it would cost way too much and no one would buy it.

...but I want one now!! I was told by someone in my local Sony shop that it will be released in the UK in June, so if patience is a virtue, then I guess I'm not very virtuous!

I got an A846 for about $325 US shipped two weeks ago from this ebay seller
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-NWZ-A846-MP...item414e0fec9a They are based out of hong kong, and if you read around Sony did release the A845(16gb) and A846(32gb) only in Asia and supposedly Europe The menus are in english and it works just like my A818 and A729 I bought in the states Hope that helps

they have released the A series (16gb and 32gb) in the Asia-Pacific region. You can get it from yesasia.com and probably a few other sites. This version has an english UI. Also supports chinese, korean etc. At least that's what's showing on mine. LOL
