i won't bother with the config file because i can still light the screen up by pressing the the down button (this doesn't trigger anything else while playing). i only mentioned it because i remembered it working in earlier versions.
anyway, huge thanks to you and all the other guys working on this. even with the read only restrictions i'm absolutely loving the new features i have.

Well after seeing this thread, I took a deep breath and plunged in!
Now got Rockbox on one of my v2's. It was the the sight of that wonderful eq that drew me to it. I must say I am most pleasantly surprised by what i hear before any eq addition.[subraction..] Plus i can now simply write eq config files and add them to suite any iffy recording that need a bit of shove here and there. Got lots of learning and messing to do still , but top marks to everyone who is working on this. ![]() I look forward to further evolution. [still a bit worried about bricking, hope i don't do anything silly..]

i'm currently running r25449-100403 and have noticed a couple of glitches during playback today - first time i've had any problems like this. i'll keep on listening to see if it happens again
player in sig, ogg @ q5, all settings stock except bass/treble bumped upto +12db

i've tried 25464 and 25466 today and they both take around 2-3 seconds to pause with a very noticeable "buzz" sound at the end. but the screen does light up again when using the volume buttons.
and as in the post above, i definitely had a couple of glitches over the space of an hours playback using 25464 earlier. i haven't listened to 25466 for any period of time yet.

just trying 25484 and there are now audible glitches starting playback from the file browser.
i think i shall give up testing new builds everyday and go back to my old r25376-100328 - that was pretty much perfect for me.

Things are a bit bad now in SVN probably (we're never sure) due to CPU frequency switching.
To workaround go to system->debug->CPU frequency and press up so the frequency is 240MHz. It will pump (much?) more battery though. Check http://www.rockbox.org/recent.shtml#svn for as3525v2 (Which is for Clipv2/Clip+/Fuzev2) for news. |

same problem with r25539. rather than be caught outside like i was yesterday, i just left a 1 hour mp3 file playing. came back 15 minutes later and the player was off.

One way is to create a playlist with all the music on your player using foobar for example. Then you copy that playlist to the player with some adjustments: search and replace with a text editor to change the first part of the path - see the attachment. The only downside is that you'll have to remember your last played file in the playlist when you restart your Clip.

Are you trying to play your entire library in order (sequential) or randomly (shuffle)?
Since the current clip v2 builds are read only, I am assuming you're browsing files, which makes either endeavor a little more cryptic. Nevertheless you can achieve sequential playback of your entire library by both enabling auto-change directory and disabling repeat: http://download.rockbox.org/daily/ma...x10-1250007.10 Once the builds are write-friendly you can simply browse the database and select "play all" to achieve the same thing. Shuffling the entire library via the file browser is also possible if that's what you're looking for. Hope this helps. |
