Ordering a X-Fi2 today.
Sold the old Zen Vision M Yesterday for $75!! Q - I use a cassette adapter in the car...the headphone jack on the X-Fi2 is 2.5mm...right? Anyone else using a cassette adapter with their X-Fi2? Which one? Any work directly with the 2.5mm jack? Thanks!

Um, I believe it's 3.5mm, not 2.5mm.
And if it just reads it like any speakers or headphones would then any should work.

I'm not using a cassette adapter myself, I have one though, and I am certain that it will also work on the X-Fi2. Are you sure yours is 2.5 mm?? |

Chiming in...I too use cassette adapters [from Aiwa and TDK]...all work with every mp3 player I have...the plugs on the adapters I have are 3.5mm standard plugs, just like on all portable headphones I have seen...
Except for the headphones made for cell phones like Nokia [which require the 2.5mm plugs]

That's great news...I don't know where I saw that the X-Fi2 used the 2.5mm plug. Thanks for the corrections. I ordered an cig lighter plug powered FM Transmitter device - we're heading out on a week long road trip in a vehicle that doesn't have a cassette deck or an Aux Input. Looking forward to the X-Fi2!

Just wanted to chime in on a cheap transmitter I've been using. I got it off of Meritline for around $10USD and it works great with the xfi2. The cable it comes with is a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter and it's garbage. If you get a cheap replacement for it though it works great. You can also just use it as an mp3 player and it takes a SD card. Here is a link for anyone interested.
