Default MP3s ripped by BladeEnc: "Unsupported Format"

Anyone else gotten the "Unsupported Format" error message when trying to play certain mp3s?

I have a few files from a friend who used BladeEnc to rip CDs. At least 1 or 2 songs per CD will not play on my Zen V Plus. I know Creative players can be picky about certain tag fields, but I don't see anything unusual about the tags on these files.

I didn't rip the CDs, so I don't know what settings were used. They were all ripped at 192 kbps CBR. (They had v.1.1 ID3 tags, which I stripped out.) These files were all ripped by a friend a few years ago before there were a lot of easy options for CD ripping. In fact, I think BladeEnc isn't even being supported by its developer anymore. The weird thing is that only 1 or 2 songs per CD/ripping session are affected. All the rest of the songs play fine. The actual error message I get on the bad files is "Audio format is not supported."
I have no problem playing these files with WMP or Media Monkey, and they worked fine on my Sansa e260. Very weird. I've tried messing around with them in tag editing software, but I'm thinking the only solution is to re-rip them.

Yeah, that is weird. Sorry, I don't have any insight for you there. In the future, I strongly recommend EAC *waves to dfkt* in conjunction with LAME.
