Please help...Invalid Firmware

i have a Samsung P3 which have firmware KR 0.55
i tried to update its firmware to 2.22 but it gave error "invalid firmware" and than said "Please connect To USB and Update YPP3.RSC File"
than i tried 2.18 than again the same thing happen
please help me out....please

You have a P3 with firmware 0.55?!
So you have a sample from Samsung. Who gave you it? Samsung ?

In fact, beta firmwares (<1.x) are in RSC and ROM format whereas the final releases (>1.x except 1.11) are in BIN format.

The problem is that sometimes you cannot upgrade samples with final firmwares, it depends on the model. That's the "dirty" work of Samsung. They send to their subsidiaries very instable samples.

I also had in my hands a P3 sample in firmware 0.57. I upgraded in fw 1.11 (the latest one in ROM and RSC format) and that bricked the screen calibration. Left and Right, Up and Down touch controls were reversed. Impossible to repair it.

They only possible way is to upgrade your P3 from 0.55 to 1.11 and from 1.11 to 2.22. But I cannot tell you how it will react. Hope for you it won't brick as my sample.

i am ok with v1.11 and i am not upgrading to v2.22, i am too scared to do that

I live in India and i borrowed this P3 from a friend to have some fun with it.
I am facing one more problem in it, the top right most icons are not working.
when i tap them it vibrates but nothing happen
i also faced this problem in firmware v0.55
Temporary i have moved unused icons in the top row but can this problem be solved ??
and what to do when P3 freeze, the power button do not work, i have to wait for the battery to get drained.

Either it's an harware problem with the screen and so you cannot do anything, or it's a software issue that may be solved with firmware 2.22 and Touch 6.D.

When P3 freezes, use the 'reset' button.

wow, I haven't heard of a P3 with a fw of under 1 in a long time!

anyway, I would strongly recommend upgrading to 2.22. the stability and speed are greatly increased.
