No need to use big and bold letters, we'll gladly help you anyway.
As for me, I haven't touched the EQ yet on my device, and it still sounds good. But the X-Fi is accessed through the purple Icon on the main menu where I would suggest that you only activate crystallization and put it up to about 75%, that should make it sound a lot better. To access the EQ you press the screen while playing a song, then press the scroll down menu button to show those options and press "EQ".

The expand feature is made to distort the audio to make it sound as a live playing. I keep mine completely shut off since I don't like live recordings. If you experience problems and think it sounds bad with it on, then just turn it off, it is not enhancing the audio quality in any way, just making it sound as if i's coming from several directions at once, which destroys the experience for me.
AS for the EQ that is completely up to you, I keep mine shut off (all of them on +/-0 dB), but from the presets (if you really want to try them) I'd use one that fits in to the general music you're listening to.

I personally use the Rock EQ, but I listin to Rock and Metal. I have Expand on about 35-50% because I did gig at one point. Crystalizer for me is about 80%; Again I am from the background that enjoys the "live band" type and as its clear with Habhome it's not for everyone. There are times (funny enough, Live Tracks) where I turn the X-Fi Audio Off.

this is a case of preference and source file quality. If your songs are about 1 MB in size for 3 minutes, that may be your problem. As for X-Fi, don't just turn everything up. Music sounds terrible with the expander all the way up.

Very true. I think Crystallizer is not needed for FLAC files and only distorts them. I use Crystallizer only on mp3s, at 1% to 75%, depending on the quality of the mp3 (which is just my personal perception).

I use custom EQ, and have crystalizer set around 75 - 80 percent, and my mp3's sound like cd or better, and is mindblowing!

Actually with those awesome sounding ear buds Creative threw in with the X-FI 2, it sounds like a portable BOSE system in my ear canal!
