how do u upload one folder with a bunch of photos for this site?

simple take your folder and compress it to .zip with 7-zip or winrar ( i use 7-zip) to do so right click on your folder then click 7-zip-->>Add to "foldername.zip"

You need to compress it into a .zip archive. Since you can only upload 5 files. So zipping it makes a whole folder into one file. (Make sure it's not over the limit anyway or you'll have to split it in several)

No idea. Make sure it's really a .zip and try again. May be use a different browser unless you're using one of the big-known.
