x-fi style - missing playlists

I have been unable to find a forum for this model, so I will try here.

I am ready to dump this one!

I am dependant on playlists - not least for audio books, and I have now tried via WMP (as m3u file), MediaMonkey and the latest version of Creative Centrale (eeek!).

They all synch tracks just fine. When I look at what is on "my zen" using all of above + explorer, the playlists are there (except the one from WMP). When I look at Systems on the player it says it has x number of playlists ...... only when I go to Playlists on my zen, it claims none excists *sigh*

I have reset the player, I have updated the firmware, I have deleted and re-synched .. I am at my wits end.

Ideas?
