I'm just about to buy a Clip+ 8GB for my wife, but one thing I wanted to know was does the Clip+ in either original firmware or Rockbox support continuing from where you left it??
One of it's uses will be to plug into the Aux slot in the car, so we wanted it to act like the car CD player and continue from where you were up to each time you switch it on - can it do this? Just didn't want it to start back at the beginning of a playlist everytime you start it. Hope that makes sense |

Both firmwares can resume from where they were before powering down.

Fantastic - thank you for replying, I've ordered an 8GB Clip+, it should be here in a few days.
Is it likely that a brand new one will be OK to put rockbox on? |

Yes, all Clip+ variants are supported by Rockbox. They don't have a "supported" status yet (due to missing USB support, among other things), but they're perfectly stable and safe to use.
