Is it possible to play music while a fuze is plugged into the car lighter socket to charge it. Or- to be exact- I'm sure I read that this should be doable but it doesn't seem to work when I try it. Am I doing something wrong or isn't this a go-er?

Hm- odd, using the normal cable runnnig to a USB to lighter socket adaptor and a regualr mini jack to mini jack to my car stereo. Everythingworks ok till I plug the USB into the adaptor in the lighter socket, at which point any music I've got playing cuts dead to be replaced by white noise..... (it does show that it's charging though)

I've been using the standard Fuze cable plugged into the USB lighter socket adapter with a cassette adapter plugged into the earphone jack.
I'm not sure when I last did it because I haven't been carrying the Fuze cable in the car with me lately. Steve |

I use a portable Emergency Charger having a USB port powered by 2 AA batteries to charge my Cowon D2, Sansa Fuze and Samsung P3 both within and without the car
