Smile Just replaced the battery in my YH-70

Relatively easy as described at http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/...-photos-inside

I have a Cowan S9 but the old Samsung is still ok but the battery had really expired after 5 years of service. New battery was obtained through a local dealer (and that was a nice surprise) for $AUD44. Pulling apart was simple but putting in the mini plug under the circuit board was challenging as I did not want to dismantle everything too much. Had to be careful to plug it in the right way with + correct. Took about 15 minutes of fiddling but I finally got it in OK. It is now recharging.

I use the Samsung for rough work (like when mowing) and my wife uses it when I use the Cowan travelling.

So guys & gals, do not throw away your old players if all that is needed is a battery.

John
