Default loving my new lineup so far

I feel like I finally have a complete line-up of players and IEMs so I thought I would share.

The Specialist
DAP: Sansa Clip 8GB
IEM: JVC Air Cushion

I have this duo for active usage...working out, riding my bike, cutting the grass, etc. Its light, has enough storage to get me through a couple of hours without repetition and has good sound without an amp. The Air Cushions are very light and have a shallow fit so they don't get uncomfortable with sweat or whatever.

The Workhorse
DAP: Sansa Fuze+ 8gb+16gb SD card)
IEM: Klipsch S4

Picked this pair up recently to use for mostly music and to watch the occasional episode of Entourage or whatever at lunch. So far so good. Thinking about a little amp but not sure. I went with less expensive player here with the hopes of making it by until android players are more available. I would love more battery life, Wifi, and android apps.

Big Daddy
DAP: Zune 120
IEM: Visang R02

I love this thing. I have my entire MP3 collection on there as well as several movies and usually a seasons worth of something. Its primary usage is in the bedroom hooked up to some PC speakers via the A/V dock. I also use it for trips to entertain the kids or transport movies to watch in hotel rooms, etc. I was carrying it around all the time but the decrease in high capacity players made me nervous. If I loose, break or get this thing stolen my replacement choices are slim.

Thats it for now. Lineup looks pretty solid for my usage. I have several players and IEMs I would love to try but I cant justify replacing anything I have right now. I do have two Creative Vision Ms that I let the kids use so they keep their paws off daddy's stuff, but they aren't anything special so I don't have any pics.

Hey IDvsEgo...very very nice gear you got there. Congrats and enjoy

How do you like that Fuze+ and those S4 Klipsch?

Welcome to ABi - I like the names for your packages as well. May steal that idea.

You should also probably post your gear going forward in this epic thread:

thanks, I am enjoying it all. I have had the clip, zune, and Air cushions for a while. The Visang, Klipsch, and Fuze+ are new additions int he last couple of weeks.

The Fuze+ sounds nice and I am getting used to the controls. It is not without its quirks though. Nothing I cant work thorugh considering the price/performance, especially considering I plan on getting the first competitive adroid PMP that has decent sound quality and at least a 3.5" screen. The fuze+ pushes the S4 just fine but I am curious about a small amp like the Fiio E5. More curious than something I need though.

yeah, I saw that thread about 1.5 minutes after I posted this topic. I figure I will snap some pics of the creatives and the old Cowon x5 that I am going to try replacing the battery in soon, then put it all in there.

I have had the zune in a hard shell and a zip up padded case since I got it. the clip is durable and gets the least use so it has held steady. the fuse+ is brand new so I havent had a chance to mess it up yet. It does stay in a digicam clamshell case when not in use though.

I know I'm late to the party, but that's a really nice collection! I have the S4's too and they're definitely one of my favorite pair.

thats one of the changes

I wasnt thrilled with the sound and have picked up a couple of alternate sets. Hippo VB (to replace the S4), Hippo Groove, and the classic JVC Marshmallow.

I hope you got a good price on the Marshmellows lol. I paid $6 each for mine. I Kramer modded one set. What do you think of them? I thought the S4 were ok but I also really wanna try out the VB. That abi review of them made em sound so dang good. Please let us know what you think after you have had some time with them (if you havent already).

Oh man, that sucks. It would be awesome if you could do a mini-review once you get yours. I've had my eye on those for quite a while and am really interested in the tuning effect on SQ.
