I am planning to sell my samsung P3 to get a Sony because the touch experience for an mp3 player is not great.
First thing first: -Is the volume still weak at max? (I had a A805 before) -If yes is there solutions to break the limit? -How is the sound quality compared to cowon and Samsung devices? |

if you're in Europe then, yes, the volume is deliberately hobbled and there is no way round it, unlike other manufacturers.

I could buy from B&H NYC online but the delivery to my country is pretty high (70$ alone) and paypal doesn't support Lebanon yet

And what about the asian version?
Because I live in Lebanon and we get our Sony products from Dubai |

AFAIK, Asian versions of Sony players are not volume restricted - only those sold and exported to EU countries are impacted...
But wait for confirmation...

I will ask the Sony shop near my house to show me the box, shouldn't it be labeled as for EU in case?

Ok I ask the Sony dude, he said it's Asian model, he even red on the box that it's for US and Asian markets.
Though I didn't read it myself later, the box is in english with some 2 or 3 words in Japanese. It's also mentioned that if a Japanese consumer find this product it's not intended to him but for tourists lol!! Anyone can confirm it's European or Asian/US model? |
