Is it possibleto get access to the service menu in these models? Allowable range of volume doesn't seem to be enough for me. While travelling, music is supressed by the external noises. I also changed the original earphones of Sony (included in the product) to Philips headphones (in terms of quality) what reduced the volume once again.
Although the sound quality it gives is okay, the volume restriction is a mistake. Has anyone come up with any solutions so far? Regards, Chris |

Is it possible that Poland suffers from the same European volume restriction laws? If so, try to locate a USA firmware from Sony or see if there's a way to change the location within the settings to USA to see if the volume limiter will be unrestricted, worth a try ...

Yes, I guess so. Either way, the player was bought in UK.
Sony doesn't make the firmware availible online for nwz-b152/b153 models as far as I'm concerned. I've browsed sony's download and support sections and the only software attached was Windows Media Player 11. There must be a way to get round the restrictions
