Not being an apple user, I think MS have really turned the corner - yes they were noticeably absent on any real Tablet OS announcements, but the money/investment they are showing in WP7 is great, and as Joe Bellifore keeps saying, User experience is King!

Anything more than this will have to wait until the rumoured Mango major update anticipated before mid-year....

Performance Improvement – App Load Time Difference
Bejweled 16.9 seconds
Fruit Ninja 6.2 seconds
ilomilo 5.1 seconds
Xbox Live Extras 8.2 seconds

Basically GFX intensive apps get the most gain / reduced load times. Web based/intensive apps will see the least change.

All these changes without any need for apps to be recoded or amended. MS are being very conservative apparently on the update timing - as this is a "first" for their new OS and they don't wan't to see any negative impact to take up or User experience.

Hence no firm time-frame ex CES.
