Great Summary by Paul Thurrott of the MS opening Keynotes announcements, with a comparison to Apple:
http://www.winsupersite.com/article/...medium=twitter Not being an apple user, I think MS have really turned the corner - yes they were noticeably absent on any real Tablet OS announcements, but the money/investment they are showing in WP7 is great, and as Joe Bellifore keeps saying, User experience is King! And Official Update info on MS WP7 website re: coming updates: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphon...ry-update.aspx - Improvements to app and game loading times and overall performance +++ - Improvements to Marketplace - it can be quite clunky. +++ - the promised copy + paste + Anything more than this will have to wait until the rumoured Mango major update anticipated before mid-year.... Now they just need to announce certification for WP7 on expandable storage! 2011 is bigger and better for WP7 for sure

More details on the upcoming WP7 update - with Cnet interviews and anandtech tests:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/4108/u...nd-paste-cdma- Performance Improvement – App Load Time Difference Bejweled 16.9 seconds Fruit Ninja 6.2 seconds ilomilo 5.1 seconds Xbox Live Extras 8.2 seconds Basically GFX intensive apps get the most gain / reduced load times. Web based/intensive apps will see the least change. Sweet. http://ces.cnet.com/8301-32254_1-20027850-283.html All these changes without any need for apps to be recoded or amended. MS are being very conservative apparently on the update timing - as this is a "first" for their new OS and they don't wan't to see any negative impact to take up or User experience. Hence no firm time-frame ex CES.
