Unhappy Sansa v1 Blank screen, LCD light gone

I have a Sansa e250r v1 rockboxed and after I dropped it I noticed that the screen was blank... if I open it up and look at it screen at a 70o angle then I can see the screen.
So basically the problem is that the screen illumination is gone but it still displays the information on screen but faintly... do anyone have a fix for this or have fixed this. ( Also, is the e200 v2 rocbox firmware the same as the e200 v1? ) Thank you in advance....

I've just had this happened to me. I opened up my player hoping to see some physical damage but I can't see any problem. I figure the light source has been damaged. I decided to just replace the player and now i'm using a sansa clip+. I figure it was cheaper to just buy a new player as my warranty expired already.
