Hi,
This is regarding my new IRIVER E100 mp3 player which is not more than 2weeks old. Last night I connected it to my laptop and transferred few files to it. Later I safely ejected the USB cable from my laptop and the player. The screen was not turning off nor turning ON. It was stuck , I pressed the RESET button for few secs. Later was not able to get the player back ON at all. Can you please help me with the steps to get this player back to normal. Thanks |

Do you have an SD card installed? And is it more than 2 gig? If so, take it out and try powering it up again.

i removed the 1Gb card, no use..
i am sure its something to do with reset. are there any other way of resetting the device back to normal ? like pressing n holding play button and power button and then press the reset button.. something like this.... because my SANSA E250 has some options like these.. |

Hmm...I'm fresh out of ideas. I hate to ask the obvious, but you have the hold button off? Other than that, i can't think of what else it'd be. By the way, the manual says pretty emphatically to not press two buttons simultaneously, so I don't recommend trying it.

Hi..I've similar issue but in my case, I was facing consistent hanging with the E150 when used for line-in recording. So, I thought of updating the firmware. During update, I waited as per displayed messages when the firmware was getting downloaded/installed. I did not touch the unit at all. And that is, after that everything went dead. The unit is neither turning ON nor getting detected in PC. It's simply dead after firmware update. One strange thing with firmware update software was that it mentioned that I've the latest one. There were two options viz recovery and reinstall. I chose recovery and then it showed that current version : 1.16 and new version: 1.03 which is quite strange. I bought it from US and until this firmware update, at least it was working fine for playback except hanging in line-in recording mode.
