Does the p3 plays 3gp??

hi...

my friend sent me via bluetooth a 3gp video...the p3 recognized it as a videofile,so it knows the extension...if i opened the file, there was an error message, saying that the video main profile is not supported...

in the list of supported video formats 3gp is not listed...i know that 3gp contains mpeg-4, which is playable on the p3..
the resolution of the video is 132x96 px with 120 kbps and mp3 audio with 24kbps...on my computer the file is playable....

here is my question:
Does the p3 play 3GP or not???
or is the quality of the video just too low...

3GP is not officially supported. It might work with some specifications but in most of cases if won't work, otherwise it would be announced as compatible.

i saw that the p3 supports mpeg2 in an avi container..am i right??

and the p3 supports h.263 in a mp4 container...but no flv... while flv also includes h.263... why this isn´t supported too...

FLV either contains h264 or VP6 video, never seen an FLV with h263 in it. But yeah, guess I haven't seen it all.

but h.264 is supported..and the mp3 audio anyway....
mybe my flv´s only have vp6 video...i try to encode a video in flv with h.264 and try it out...

and the mpeg2 video works very well but the files are very big....
