Sansa Fuze gone?

I noticed today the fuze is no longer listed in sandisk's store. I assume its been officially discontinued then..?

Hmmm, probably so, inevitable perhaps since the Fuze+ release. Normal Fuze players are still out there but prices may be escalating and they may be increasingly difficult to find...

I kind of thought it was gone or a matter of time after they released the plus. There's still plenty on the net and some B&M stores, I was at a local tiger direct B&M store the other day and they have a great deal on the 8gb $40.00 on the shelf. Later I checked their site and they have it there for $49.99, certainly still worth getting IMHO

That's sad, discontinuing a very decent player for a somewhat silly, awkward one. Bad decision you made there, SanDisk.

Hopefully they'll realize the bad move and replace the fuze + ASAP! It sure would be cool to have a larger Clip+ on the level of the Fuze V2 ... increased battery life, 16gb and 32gb sizes, expansion slot ...
