Does anyone have any experience with refurbished items from sony? I am really considering getting one. The battery of my a818 is more or less dying and I need a replacement. This seems like a worthy contender.

It should be the same as the one I got last year around this time. New in the box, full warranty. The only thing is that the battery is a year older. Mine is still going strong.

This is still going strong on the Sony Style website - and it's only an expired coupon in the box,...so it's actually a new player.

Mine is working quite nicely. Got it for a total of $65. If I were in the market and they were available, I'd buy another one without hesitation.
