Cowon X7 Docking Station?

Hi there,

Was thinking of purchasing the X7, as I want an MP3 player with large storage capability and this appears to be the most suitable. Just wondering if this can be somehow attached to a docking station or how do people use it when not on the move.

There's no docking station for it, but you can attach it to any amp or powered speakers with a standard 3.5mm-to-RCA cable, or similar.

I just want to add that it doesn't need to be connected to a computer to recharge. Out of the box it is supplied with an external charger.

Thanks for the quick response. Just wondering if there's a way of connecting it to the likes of the Bose Sound dock. Obviously I'm a real novice in this field.

If the Bose has an input for a minijack, then all you need to do is get a minijack to minijack cable and connect the X7 (or any MP3 player) headphone output to the input socket of the Bose and you are away. I don't have a Bose dock, but it may be that its input is not a minijack but 2 phono sockets, in which case you need a minijack to 2 phono, cable. They only cost under £5. Or you could go further and buy a bluettoth receiver which you can connect to the Bose and play from the X7 wirelessly. Bluetooth does lose a fraction of sound quality but I can't tell the difference...what with my ears being decades old.
