Is ANY firmware available for the Pilot?

Is it possible to download the original firmware for the NS-4V24 and/or NS-8V24, presuming that no newer firmware has been released?

If it is not downloadable, is there any other way to obtain it? Is there, for instance, a way to clone the memory that contains the firmware from one Pilot to another?

Don't think NS's FW will work - I was using 1.93 (not on their site) for NS until I left player on plane last week

reduced to buying used Insignia's on ebay The ability to scroll to a directory and have it play a series of audiobook files is my "critical"
