Deleting volume limiter

Hi all, how do I get rid of this device, I've checked the other threads and found one result for this, deleting the param.cfg file which I have done, the only trouble is when I reconnect the x7 the file has returned leaving me with the limiter still there. Has anyone any ideas of what I may be doing wrong please as the volume is diabolical. Many thanks Dave
