I luv this phone!!! And all the schmo's talking crap about how it's "just the WP7 version, as the MeeGo handset was announced 2 days ago",...SO WHAT??? This phone running WP7 OS is FANTASTIC!!! I luv it I say!!!

BTW: @13:50 or so it's admitted that there are other Nokia WP7 devices up and running already - I can't WAIT!!!

Yeah I was out playing with Cell Phones at the mall trying to decide between the HD2 and the Focus. 4" screen seems like the hotspot in terms of decent size and being pocketable.

I need a 4" screen for my crappy & failing vision - and I don't want Android. WP7 is the way to go for me, as it's clean, efficient, and well put together & thought out.

I still want them to break from the PC/Zune software requirement. MS likes to copy Apple, so hopefully they move to a Cloud-based sync approach soon like iOS 5 supposedly has. However, I STILL want the phone unlocked. If I can't load my own ringtones, sideload apps, and use a file manager, then it does me no good.

But I'll admit, outside of those issues, WP7 takes a big steaming dump on Android in most other areas. The problem is, those features are necessities for me. It's why I moved from WinMo to Android, bypassing the iPhone.

- Ringtone support is a Mango enhancement coming this Fall.
- There are sideload apps that give you > file level access to the phone
- The ChevronWP7 team will be offering an unlock fee (1-off) for a small amount soon (see ChevronLabs in my other post).

Better trade-in that Android phone now before the rush in Fall when Mango hits :P

I want to see how well my desired apps work. File management can also be sideloaded onto a jailbroken iPhone, but the capabilities of a jailbroken iPhone are still WAY behind Android. If WP7 pulls it off, I'll give it a shot.

I've learned through owning a Zune HD (and from watching the Kin debacle, and from owing 2 straight WinMo devices...) that you don't buy MS products based on what you THINK they MIGHT be able to do down the road. You buy them for what they can do TODAY.

Amen. I'm still a long way from adopting a WP7 device, myself. In the meantime, I'm eager to see how many of the promised Mango enhancements prove successful and problem-free.
