I'm new here and i've seen many threads here about the x-fi2 crashing, but nothing has helped....my problem is that the player freezes during the "scanning disc". I try to do the recovery mode but nothing happens. When i plug the player into my PC, it charges but I can't find it on "my computer". I have the latest firmware.
If anyone can help then thanks.

Format the player completely, reload the firmware again, format one last time

Press and HOLD the home button, then press the power button once. (Do not let go of the home button)
The device will boot up with 3 options: Clean Up, Format All and Reboot Press the home button once to cycle through the options, then press the power button once to select the options Do a complete format of the device |
