wow! just trying out bose phones for first time with 845 nice indeed - trying a loud track at the mo and dont feel i need more than around 15-16 - bose phones sound even better compared to nano cool

if anything the bose phones seem louder with more bass
than with my nano

.....and not noticed the lack of gapless playback either

Sony's walkmans really are the best. Here in the USA we haven't had a decent high-end Sony player in years. Hopefully that will change soon. A lot of people are still shocked that my old, beat to hell A818 sounds as good as it does. I have a Cowon iAudio 9 and even though it's newer, and a Cowon, I still prefer my walkman over it when it comes to sound quality and ease of use.

That happened to me with my walkman X series, "Nahhhh 32GB, i will nerver fill them so fast...."

Then i went crazy with Classical music downloads, collections etc. started with 4GB in 2004 steadly growth th 16GB until 2009... when i exponentially jumped from 16 to 32, 64, 90 and now i have 127GB

I need a supersized walkman

infact, i cant quite believe it sounds this good with my bose's - just sounds so crisp and clear - and the bass is driven better too

btw: i looked at the leather cases, but in the end went for a hard plastic shell - clear crystal one - jsut arrived today - extremely good fit - so much so i cant get it off to clean the smudges :/

.....also thinking of getting a semi hard case - ie a bigger one for the player and phones - as at the moment the phones are floating around in my soft case - and im thinking that this might not be a good idea!

Id suggest clear silicone I have one for my J3. As long as you don't keep taking it on and off.

I never was a fan a leather or cases but if they protect your player why not.

These offer better impact protection if you drop it.

i didnt got silicone because had only seen a black one that hide the lovely silver buttons - couldnt see point of that :/

first play with the eq settings - the first bassy setting on eq is nice and heavy but a bit too much for normal listening i think - so have left eq itself as normal - but i do like the studio setting in the surround sound settings - smooths out a not so good recording it seems

@dabx55 try the matrix setting in the surround menu. It sounds great, you only have to get used to it for 2 minutes and then it sounds completely natural...

I would hope he's just using normal USB transfer. Content Transfer is borderline useless, and the only good thing is does is re-encode and resize videos to use up less space on the player (not that you would watch much video on that size screen).

Please tell me you're not using Content Transfer.

I didn't think Content Transfer was that bad, when I had my S545 and E345. I still used Mediamonkey most of the time for music though. And I was happy to discover that Windows 7 would convert my videos for me.
