cowon x7 won't turn on

I bought it in january so have only had it 8 months! And now it wont turn on, its just black. usb isnt recognised, tried plugging it into the wall and leaving it overnight - nothing. reset button does nothing. The battery was definitely charged when i was using it as i never leave the house without charging it and the the next day its dead. I have tried emailing cowon but no reply yet, is there a telephone number for them (im uk based), im appauled at their customer services and the fact i buy a player and it breaks down shortly after with minimum use!!
I have seen threads on here talking about seating the power supply? this may sound dumb as im not v technical but what is this? as im willing to try anything. many thanks
